Do I need Capital To Buy A Business?

Not in the way you think. You don't need a pile of cash sitting in the bank to acquire a company, but you do need capital to do it right. Most of our clients use creative deal structures, often acquiring with little to no money down. What matters more than cash is having the right business behind you. You would be far better investing $150k into a buy side team that protects our downside and ensures profitability than putting that same $150 into a deal you do not know how to operate. Our job is to make sure your first acquisition makes you money, not mistakes.

Wha Kind of ROI can I expect?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer, and anyone who tells you there is, is not doing great diligence. Your return depends on what you are acquiring, why you are acquiring and how it I operated post close. That said mos small business acquisitions generate 20-50% cash-on-cash returns witin 1-3 years, and when well integrated & strategically grown, can reach 150%+ ROI by year 5. But not every deal is made for immediate cashflow. Some acquisitions are strategic, built around buying IP, teams, technology that strengthen your existing company or portfolio. Returns that are not always measured in percentages, but leverage.

How long does the acquisition process take?

Timelines vary drastically based on deal size and readiness. Most clients acquiring SMB Essential Services to diversify portfolio can usually close within 3-6months but we also have clients where we work with them over 12 - 24 months to acquire multiple businesses.
